To my Beloved
While writing my Thanksgiving post I could not stop thinking about the amazing gift God has given me in YOU. You are the most amazing woman and I am so lucky to have you as my wife. You encourage me and give me hope when times are tough. You are an amazing wife and mother. I know that I don't say it enough but I Love You and Thank You for all that you do for me and the children.
Thanksgiving
Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.1 Thessalonians 5:18
Well Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. It is this time of year that I am reminded to count my blessings. Sadly I do not count them as often as I should. I think that this is unfortunately a common problem in this country. If we stopped to be thankful for what God has given us more often I have no doubt that we would be a happier and more content nation. This is the 3 things that I am most thankful for:
1) God- I am thankful for God's grace and forgiveness
2) My wife- I am thankful for my wonderful wife. She is the most amazing woman.
3) My Children- We have 4 wonderful and amazing children.
Lord, I thank you. I thank you for all of the many blessings that you have been given me. I am thankful for your son and your grace and forgiveness. You have given me a wonderful wife, a lifelong partner in this life. She is the most wonderful woman that I could ask to spend the rest of my life with. You have blessed us with some wonderful children, they are great and truly blessings. God you are great and you have given me so much more than I deserve. I thank you for all of your grace.
Long Day....Or Maybe Just a Boring Dinner
My wife is away for the weekend to a home school moms retreat. This of course means it is daddy time. I of course had to cook and I fixed my specialty...tacos. I know it is hard to mess up tacos... but then again that is kinda the point.
With this lapse for wonderful and exquisite dinners (like buttermilk chicken and mashed potatoes ect.) I think dinner was too boring for my little David.
In my defense though it was also a long day so that didn't help any.
LOL
Technical Difficulties
My computer recently had to go to the scrap heap. It was a long time coming. After 5 hard drives, 2 DVD drives and countless reformats and other life assorted life support attempts it was time to pull the plug (pun intended). As is evident here:
Thanks to some good friends I was able to get a computer that will last my hard demands. P gave me a wonderful Dell PE2650 server with 2 dual core processors and 2GB RAM and 3 Hard Drives. It is more than I could ask for. A big sincere thank you!

Harvest Time
It is hard to believe that it is nearing the end of October already. I can't believe how time flies. I am sorry for not keeping up with my blog better. With another quarter at online college, work, and family I got behind.
While alot of people are thinking about Halloween and the various activities associated with that this time of year my mind goes to something different. I begin to think about the harvest. This is the time of year where the farms reap what they sewed earlier in the year. I enjoy seeing the crops being harvested, it is a reminder to me that hard work and determination (not to mention prayer) get you some where. Seeing these farmers plant, cultivate, and tend to their crops day in and day out and then see what they have been working for amazes me.
This is the time of year when God knocks on the door of my soul and has me examine myself. 2 Corinthians 9:6 ,Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously., always come to mind this time of year and it makes me really think about how I an living and how I need to change. Usually there is more change than not involved. Unfortunately I hear the same things every year, a reminder that I need to keep working and try to become more Christ-like.
I thank God for this time of year and how he works in me during this wonderful season. I am truly blessed and I thank God for that.
